LINE AND SHAPE BLACK AND WHITE
I photographed multiple areas inside and outside of school, I chose the hallway as a focal point for my photographs. I took this photo from the beginning of the hallway and zoomed the lens out so I could get the entire hallway in the photo. I was very far from the other end of the hallway and I did this to get all the little details of the hallway and its walls. My view point of the photo was straight forward, however, I angled the camera at a certain way so the hallway appeared to be titled. My photograph is vertical with a slight tilt on the camera. I used the rule of thirds in this photo because I captured every part of the hallway and the symmetrical aspect of the photo easily leads a viewers eye through the photo. The photo of the hallway is genuinely a dynamic composition that leads the viewer's eye through the photo.

I feel that my best photo is the picture of the grass (photo 4). I feel the texture of the grass with the morning dew on it is very very pleasing to the eye. In the shot I lied down very close to the grass and then zoomed in a lot with my phone camera and focused the shot before taking it. I took the photo straight on and angled the lens straight at the grass to see all the different textures in the grass. I took the photograph horizontally so that I could see more of the grass across the lens than just vertically. My photo does not really follow the rule of thirds, because there is no real focal point in the picture. However, in this photo the picture flows very nicely throughout the entire photo. This allows all the texture of the photo to be seen very easily. This photo is an example of texture because there is no real pattern in the grass, however, there is a lot of texture due to the freshness or roughness of the grass, which also allows for the dew to be seen very very clearly.
I feel that my photo of the curtain(photo 2) is a little too bright because there does not seem to be a lot of balance between black and white as well as grey areas. I feel that I could've taken the photo with less light in the room. The area that i feel is too bright is more towards the left side of the image, it is just white and grey area and does not have any dark value to it.
The image that I feel is too dark is the photo of the chair(photo 1). I feel that the image is underexposed because I could've changed the greyscale of the photo and made it a healthier balance between black and white. I feel the photo overall is just too dark and i could've adjusted the layers more.
Which image is the best example of a properly exposed photo? Explain why. The photo that I feel is the best exposed is the grass (photo 5). I feel that this is a properly exposed photo because there is a healthy balance between black and white and grey. This is also a good photo because you can see all the texture of the photo, because there is a lot of texture in the morning grass.
